時価会計制は、平成１２年の３月期決算から適用するということが決まり、単独よりも「連結決済」を評価するようになりました。
連結は、本社にグループ各社を含み、子会社の範囲としては、保有株の比率だけではなく実質支配で判断され、退職給付会計（企業年金や退職金の積み立て不足額を開示）を採用しました。
平成１４年３月期からは、長期保有株も時価評価し、経営の透明化を徹底したため、ROA（連結総資産経営利益率）が投資指標として重視され始めました。
